How often should I receive Muscle Release Therapy, MRTh?

The frequency for Muscle Release Therapyis unique to each individual's needs, goals and circumstances. Your body begins compensating for any physical/emotional trauma or injury within 1/30,000 of a second.   Following atraumatic event, your body will continue to function, even if the movements are incorrect.  Over time, these incorrect movements lead to the development of inefficient behavioral movement patterns, thus creating pain and discomfort. Utilizing MRTh, your therapist is able to isolate and treat the cause ofyour compromised movement patterns, thereby encouraging efficient movement while alleviating pain and discomfort. Please keep in mind it may take more than one treatment.Discuss a maintenance program with your therapist which may include Muscle Release Therapy and Functional Movement with Pilates Machines.

How often should I come to Pilates?

Similar to Muscle Release Therapy, Pilates training is unique to your individual needs, goals and circumstances. To accelerate development of core strength and proper movement patterns, we recommend participating in private sessions and/or group classes 3 times per week. However, if your schedule restricts you, participating in Pilates training at least once per week will prove beneficial and enable you to comfortably adjust and grow with your program as you continue to develop.

Can Pilates help maintain the postural balance I gained from Muscle Release Therapy?

Yes.  In fact, Pilates may actually lessen the frequency for Muscle Release Therapy. Pilates training "educates" your muscles to function correctly. Therefore, you create a more efficient, normal state of movement in your day-to-day life. With Pilates, your body is able to hold your true posture by utilizing the core muscles and functional movement patterns you have developed.
