What is Reiki?
by Terry Carine, Karuna Reiki® Master/Teacher

Terry Carine Karuna®Reiki Master/Teacher
What is Reiki? The word Reiki, pronounced ("RAY-kee"), comes from two Japanese words, one Rei which means "universal", and then Ki which means "life force or life energy." The two together -"Reiki"- means "universal life energy." Universal life energy is in every living thing. Rei can be defined as the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the universe. Rei is the subtle wisdom that permeates everything, both animate and inanimate. Because of its infinite nature, it is all knowing. Ki is the non-physical energy that animates all living things. Ki is flowing in everything that is alive including plants, animals and humans. Anything that is alive has that energy.

Cleveland Indians 2010

Home Opener is April 12th
Monday is a work day, yet that's not going to stop us from rooting for the Tribe on Monday, April 12 as we take on our division rival Chicago White Sox in 2010's Home Opener. First pitch is at 3:05pm, but we'll have hotdogs and peanuts ready by 12:00pm. That's right, we're bringing some tailgating into the office!
Show your support by wearing Cleveland Indians' apparel to your appointment Monday, April 12!
"Cue" Up Spring
by Jarvis Wrazen

Jarvis Wrazen, CPI
Spring is officially here! A time of cleaning out and planting gardens, making piles of food for holidays and of course some good old fashioned spring cleaning! All these activities can be quite taxing on our bodies especially when we're not positioned correctly to efficiently perform any given task. I'd like to take some time to remind you of the thoughts and cues we use in the Pilates studio, and help you to use them at home or in the garden, so that you can keep feeling good all season long.

Communicating With Your Therapist
by Jennifer Falzetta-Smith, LMT

Jennifer Falzetta-Smith, LMT
While I was attending Massage Therapy school one of the perks was getting a free massage on a regular basis. Anytime someone was offering to give a massage I would jump at the chance. Little did I know that one massage in particular would teach me a valuable lesson about communication in the therapy room.
